Two stage drying of milk powder processing line
The last traces of moisture are the most difficult to remove unless a high outlet drying temperature is used to provide sufficient driving force. It is very important to operate dairy products at a lower outlet temperature because an increase in the outlet drying temperature will adversely affect the powder quality. If the moisture content of the obtained powder is still too high, the post drying stage is added after the spray dryer. The two-stage drying method for producing milk powder products takes spray drying as the first stage and fluidized bed drying as the second stage. The water content of the powder leaving the chamber is 2-3% higher than the final water content. The function of fluidized bed dryer is to remove excess water and finally cool the powder.
